Andrea Bressanelli

Since taking the first bite of a fiery Ethiopian doro wot and staining his favourite sweatshirt with streaks of lusciously red oil in London more than a decade ago, Andrea has been on a quest to find exciting food and understand its origins and the culture behind it.

After studying Nordic literatures in both Italy and Sweden and working in marketing for global companies, he chose to follow his passion for food, graduating from the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo, Italy, with a Masters in World Food Cultures and Mobility.

He’s been a board member for Slow Food Stockholm, helping organize Terra Madre Nordics in 2022, and worked on gastronomic tourism projects in collaboration with Slow Food Taitung, Taiwan.

A big fan of anything smoked, bitter and spicy, particularly artichokes, he’s passionate about the cultural side of food and has extensive experience in food research, writing and editing.

Some of his work can be seen on his site.
