Francesca Tognazzi

Francesca grew up in a family with a deep appreciation for the land. At home, they grew vegetables and raised animals. The family also had cows, which she learned to milk from a young age, and she nostalgically remembers the times when you could collect the cream that rose to the top, which is nothing like what you buy in stores.

After working in an office for years, she now handles the “public face” of La Bottega in Castell'Azzara, sharing the stories and history behind the cakes and cookies she sells.

Francesca grew up in Cinigiano, 20 km from Grosseto, but now lives in Castell'Azzara with her husband Andrea and their children Thomas and Giulia.
