Gabrielle Duffy
Gabrielle is a Social Scientist with more than 20 years of experience in the design and delivery of UN humanitarian assistance programmes. Through international experience with the World Food Programme she has promoted local food production and nutrition programmes in several countries around the world, including Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Senegal and DPR Korea. She has engaged in policy work, laying the ground for the World Food Programme’s Emergency Preparedness Policy, and developing Ethics Principles for the United Nations Evaluation Group (UNEG) that have become the standard for most multi-lateral organisations when conducting evaluations. She is an expert in evaluation having managed several complex policy and humanitarian evaluations, and currently works as as an independent evaluator.
Her professional experience is complemented by her interest and dedication to spiritual growth. As a Heartfulness Meditation Trainer, she leads meditation groups in a range of private and public contexts, and provides training in Heartful (non-violent) communication skills.
She is committed to forging a climate of peace and unity in the world, through building awareness that allows people to connect with each other on a deep level, and to make more conscious choices in their lifestyle.
She currently lives in Italy, in a small community on the shores of Lake Bracciano where she enjoys contact with nature and grows her own fruit and vegetables.
