Janine d'Angelo

Janine d’Angelo has worked for the United Nations World Food Programme for over 30 years and is currently is the Head of the Ceremonial Protocol Services where she is in charge of diplomatic protocol and international relationships with WFP Governance and high level interactors of WFP’s Leadership group.

She has a passion for food and particularly cheese and often blends flavours from her native Switzerland with those from central Italy where she makes her home. She enjoys visiting food festivals and sagre and frequently hosts friends at her home just outside Rome.

Janine is a Swiss national, is fluent in five languages and is a mother of a 33 year old son who lives in Zurich Switzerland – and is a soon-to-be grandmother.
